Vannamei shrimp (Litopenaeus vannamei) farming is an important aquaculture activity with potential to support regional production and business development. This study examined the business prospects of vannamei shrimp farming at PT. Bagja Barokah Sarerea in Ciheras Village, Cipatujah District, Tasikmalaya Regency, West Java Province. The analysis focused on the implementation of Good Aquaculture Practices (GAP), financial performance, and business feasibility based on the company’s semi-intensive farming system. The research was conducted using a case-study approach with qualitative and quantitative data collected through observation, structured interviews, questionnaires, and documentation involving the pond owner, a technician, and an employee. The GAP assessment indicated that PT. Bagja Barokah Sarerea had met several important operational requirements, particularly in seed selection, feed management, harvesting, health monitoring, and biosecurity. However, improvements were still required in wastewater treatment, complete on-site water quality measurement, and documentation practices. Financially, the enterprise recorded total revenue of IDR 3,088,559,646 and reported total costs of IDR 2,717,657,178 over five years, with reported net income of IDR 370,902,468. Overall, the business showed viable prospects, provided that technical management, environmental facilities, water quality monitoring, and farm records are strengthened to support more sustainable production and reduce operational risk in vannamei shrimp farming during future cycles.
