This article presents a comprehensive review of the current state of microbial biotechnology, with a primary focus on its applications in pharmaceuticals and industrial processes. Key areas of discussion include microbial fermentation, enzyme production, bioremediation, microbial fuel cells, and gene therapy. Additionally, the article delves into emerging fields such as synthetic biology, metagenomics, and bioinformatics, which promise to enable more precise and efficient biotechnological innovations.
