Effect of Giloe and Cinnamon Supplementation on Carcass Characteristics in Commercial Broilers

This feeding trial was conducted on broilers for 42 days for studying supplementation effect of giloe and cinnamon powder on carcass characteristics. In total, 120 day old broiler chicks after procurement were divided into six treatment groups. First group (T1) was kept as control and in T2 -1% giloe, T3-2% giloe, T4-1% cinnamon, T5-2% cinnamon and in T6 combination of 1% giloe+1% cinnamon was supplemented in control diet. Significant differences (P<0.05) were noted in dressing percentage values with/without giblet among different treatment groups but no significant difference was noted in cut-up parts weight and processing losses. It was concluded that cinnamon at 2% supplementation affects the carcass quality of broiler.
