Proper design of farm pond suitable for a given region is essential to reap maximum benefit. Patch constituted software solutions suchlike WHP Figure and SWYMOD exist, their coating is ofttimes confined by dependency on senior Visual Primary environments, hindering individual friendliness and cross-platform operability. To address these limitations, a dedicated software application, DLSFP (Design of Location Specific Farm Pond), was developed using Microsoft Visual Basic 13. This application acts as a standalone tool, specifically designed to function on the Windows 10 operating system, eliminating the need for complex software dependencies. Based on rigorous mathematical formulas and standard engineering design procedures DLSFP enables the procedure of optimal farm pond dimensions, including capacity, bottom and top dimensions and embankment requirements supported on user-defined inputs such as catchment area, soil type and rainfall data. The software is highly user-friendly and provides copesetic results for Designing pirogue farm ponds. Key functionalities permit allowing design modifications based on regional soil and water conservation needs, easy installation and seamless operation on modern Windows platforms and also calculating optimal storage volume to maximize crop productivity and reduce evaporation/seepage losses. DLSFP is a highly efficacious ride for farming engineers, students, researchers, and authorities’ institutions active in promoting climate-resilient rainfed husbandry and sustainable nutrient direction. DLSFP is a highly useful tool for agricultural engineers, students, researchers, and government institutions involved in promoting climate-resilient rainfed agriculture and sustainable water management.
