The present study was conducted during 2022-23 in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Total 6 mandals from which two villages each were selected resulting in 12 villages from which 10 farmers from each village were selected by employing random sampling technique resulting in a total sample size of 120 respondents. Structured interview schedule was prepared in the light of objectives and data was collected following purposive random sampling technique. For the study ex-post facto research design was employed. Descriptive statistics such as mean, frequency, percentage, ranking, bar graph, radar chart were used to analyse the objective(s) of the study. The study revealed that adoption of enhanced or improved technologies in Rice crop such as seed rate (74%), weed management (65%), BPH and stem borer management (63%), FYM, Green manure crops (40%) & seed treatment (36%). The least adoption recommended technologies were Bio fertilizers (22%) and SHC recommendations (16%). Majority (63.17%) of the farmers showed low level of overall adoption of recommended technologies in Rice crop. Spacing, hills per sq.mt, fertilizer recommendation were not adopted by the majority of the farmers. The study also showed that the non-maintenance of spacing and hills per square meter due to labour constraint and farmers perception of getting lower yields with adoption of recommended fertilizer doses were the major reasons for non-adoption of technologies. The recommended technologies in Rice is significantly transformed the scenario of farming in that area and also yield level.
