Study of Parable Language Styles in Symbolic Verse Text Nyamuk dan Lalat Poetry

Abstract

Aims: The purpose of this research is to describe the language style of the parable in verse. Methodology: The method used is descriptive analytical. This analytical descriptive method was chosen with consideration because each word, clause, or sentence in each verse of the Nyamuk dan Lalat Syairs. The data source which is the object of research is the text of the Nyamuk dan Lalat Poems. Nyamuk dan Lalat Poetry is one of the poems contained in the Anthology of Symbolic Poetry in Old Indonesian Literature published by Ditjen Kebudayaan Departemen Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Republic Indonesia. The data analysis technique is to analyze the text structure of Syair Nyamuk dan Lalat based on verse theory and stylistic theory through an objective approach, namely the approach taken basically rests on the literary work itself [1], analyzes data according to the method and concludes the research results. Results: At the end of this study it can be concluded that the symbolic lyrics of the Nyamuk dan Lalat Poetry when viewed from the structure, consist of 306 verses of the verse. After being analyzed, it can be seen that the verses that have the meaning of the parable as the object of research. The verse means parable in this verse totaling 53 stanzas. Conclusion: Based on the research conducted, the writer found a characteristic or verse form that was different from the characteristic or form of verse in general. Basically the verse has the same rhyme at the end of each line, namely a-a-a-a, but it can be seen in the verse text that there is a rhyme that rhymes a-b-a-b or a-a-b-b. Likewise with regard to the number of lines per verse, which should have consisted of four interlocking lines, but in the symbolic verse text of Syair Nyamuk dan Lalat, the writer also found a different number of lines, namely two interlocking lines.
