ScPedia
ScPedia is dedicated to the development of dynamic scholarly content. Science is inherently dynamic, and ScPedia helps scientists maintain this very nature of scientific progress. The current traditional journal and publication system operates on a Web 1.0 model, serving as a platform for static content delivery. While the Journal 1.0 model has many advantages, it is static in nature and captures the development of science in a discrete way.
For example, after the publication of a peer-reviewed research paper, it becomes the gold standard until a second paper is published to address errors in the first article. The time gap between the first and second article can span months, years, or even decades. However, the development of science is not discrete. ScPedia is designed to work on the Journal 2.0 model, capturing the continuous and dynamic nature of scientific research.
ScPedia aims to combine both the Journal 1.0 and 2.0 models. It will publish or link to the original version of an article while also providing a dynamic, editable version. All edits and corrections will be moderated by reviewers. ScPedia not only allows authors to track their work, but also enables others to ask questions, engage in discussions, and gain additional perspectives on the research.
We humbly acknowledge that ScPedia is a dynamic approach that requires many modifications, corrections, and policies to make it fully functional. ScPedia depends on the active help and voluntary participation of the scholarly community to make it a valuable resource for future research.
